A Case of the Mundays Shout-Out

With my coffee this morning I was checking out some favorite daily blogs and was so excited to see that my friend, blogger Blair Munday, was featured on DesignSponge. She's a graphic designer for a Nashville record label by day and a brunette Martha Stewart by night. The DIY that Design Sponge featured is one in which Blair turned the burlap runners (which she also made) that were on the tables at her wedding into Christmas stockings for her and her new hubby Wade. It's a huge deal because this site gets TONS of traffic every day. Congrats, lady!

It's turned out to be a Blair-themed day because I'm going over to her apartment tonight to take part in a cookie swap with nine other girls. (Basically, you bring three dozen cookies and walk away with three dozen, all different varieties.) To contribute, I made coconut macaroons this morning. They turned out so delicious.

And then the mailman brought these leather scraps I'd ordered from Etsy, for the purpose of making the Anthopologie-inspired pennet necklace Blair explained how to make on her blog a few weeks ago. It's based on a necklace called A Fine Fete that Anthro's selling this season.

I love how mine turned out:

Thanks Blair!
