Five pounds gone. I lost 5 lbs. this week. That seems like an awful lot, but the first week on Weight Watchers is always pretty dramatic. (My body is saying: "Hey! What happened to my ice cream sandwiches biatch!") It'll taper off to a more reasonable one to two lbs. from here on out. I did LOTS of yummy cooking this week. This was my favorite meal that I made:

Vinyl. Nekos and I spent a recent snow day wearing out our vinyl collection. About half of our records came from his mom and dad, his aunt and an uncle. His mom and aunt (who were best friends) took great care to write their names on each of the records that were theirs -- in their swirling teenage girl handwriting. Nekos and I put on an Al Green record and started talking about how cool that we had these albums (especially now that his mom and aunt have passed away). I love that the Al Green record is the exact record that his mom, Deborah, put on in the '60s to have living room dance parties with her sister Cassaundra.

Valentine's Day imagery all over the web. I'm not very into V-Day because I think that's what couples' anniversaries are for! And I still have all these little wounds from being Valentine-less back in the day, when my high school classmates paraded their bouquets of roses down the hallway. But I like all the sweet photos that have cropped up lately:
