Some Happy Things.

This Dolce & Gabbana dress/hairstyle/photo featuring actress Abbie Cornish, from March's In Style.

Elizabeth Taylor & James Dean's movie Giant. Nekos and I devoured this three-hour movie last week. I was surprised how ahead of its time it seems -- featuring a truly loving interracial marriage. And I had no clue that James Dean was such a fine actor. This is a new favorite flick. The pic below is of Taylor sunning herself on set.

This book by Emily Chalmers. It looks vibrant and inspiring. I'm gonna have to get me a copy.

This fabric necklace tutorial. Click to see. Here's the one I made yesterday. Took all of 30 minutes, and I got to use up some cool retro fabric.

This pretty decorative tray. This would go atop my dresser and I would display my rings over there on the right side.

The new Closet Case Vintage lookbook. Nashville's own CCV recently released its Spring/Summer 2011 Lookbook. Lots of candy-colored whimsical images and perfectly pretty vintage pieces. See the whole thing here.

This hairstyle. I am about to take the plunge and chop my hair off. I've had long hair now for seven years, but I am loving this shaggy bob with bangs.

This Creamy Chicken and Cornbread recipe. I finally made something from the cooking blog I've been stalking the past few months -- Can You Stay for Dinner? And it was one of the best things I've ever made. Nekos and I put Tessa to bed and took our dinner outside last night. And it's not even 11 a.m. and I'm already getting excited about heating it up for lunch today.

I LOVE Giant! It is not to be watched lightly, though. haha It's so long! But so good. Anyways, I'm rambling. But two of my fave actors... Jimmy and Liz. Sigh.

Yes, so much good stuff here! First, I have always been in love with J.D. --since I was about 10! He, sadly, only made 3 movies and they're all good. I love the necklace, need the book, and the bob is super cute and would look great on you!

I love that necklace! I've been seeing it around and kept thinking, I could do that myself. Now I think I just might.

You have MADE my day! I have been searching for a tutorial on these necklaces forever!!!!
They actually sell on etsy as "chomping necklaces" for babies to teeth on! (when made with wooden beads)
check some of the great fabric they used!
