For a day and a half or so, work has made itself scarce. With all that meat gone, I can really see the bones of my life, and they're lovely. I (finally) finished painting our bedroom, cooked a meal for our family, and made some bliss with Tessa, rolling around on the floor and trying to make sense of her jibber-jabber and smooching her incessantly. Tonight we made dinner for some friends who we'd missed spending time with, and there were homemade chocolate chip cookies involved. Here are some of my happys:
New curtains in our bedroom.
Roses from my Dad's garden.
Braids in Tessa's hair.
The best (and smallest) seat in the house.
