Tucson, Day One

I tend to have terrible insomnia the night before I leave for a big trip. No matter how much Valerian root I take or caffeine I don't drink. I just have too much anticipation for our travels. (And I am a chronic worrier, which is really too bad.) But our first day turned out to be wonderful anyway. Tessa didn't cry too much on the plane, and we arrived in Tucson with most of the day ahead of us to hang out with Molly and Rocky. The weather was sunny, in the mid-'60s, so we spent the day sitting on their back porch, under their lemon tree, soaking it all up.

Coming right up: Fresh Lemonade!

Why didn't we think of this sooner? Tessa's favorite toys.

Love it! Makes me think of home. My dad has a lemon tree in his backyard in Vegas and I always want to take bags of lemons home with me after Xmas. If I hadn't had so many gifts for june in my bags I would have! Have a great time in the sun for us! It snowed here today.
