When I was a little kid I remember helping my mom build a ludicrously flimsy fence out of chicken wire for our golden retriever puppies, Sugar and Spice. In high school we used the stuff to assemble lumpy mascots for our homecoming parade floats. I hadn't really thought about it at all since back then, but nowadays I want to go hog wild with it all over my house. Here are some of my favorite chicken wire projects on the Net. I mean, isn't the chicken wire chandelier gorge-a-rama? And how about using chicken wire as a stencil on that porch? Best idea evs, right? I'm not sure what I'm gonna chickenwire (that's totally a verb, right?) yet, but it's definitely going to make an appearance around here sometime soon.
Nekos and I both had crazy-busy work weeks and are planning to catch up on sleep and soak up some family time this weekend before he heads to New York City (lucky!) on business next week. Oh, and we're pretty stoked about going to a pumpkin-carving party tomorrow. It's been super dreamy in Nashville this week -- sunny and in the upper '70s. I've been trying to stop as often as I can, close my eyes, and tilt my face up to enjoy the last of this buttery sunshine before winter steals it away for a few months.
Hope you all have super sweet, sunny autumn weekends wherever you may be. Oh, and I found some time this afternoon to finish a cute mason jar project; so, if you can, maybe tune in sometime this weekend to take a peep.
